Sharpstown, TX – One Victim Loses Life in Bicycle Crash on Bellaire Blvd near Fondren Rd

Sharpstown, TX (February 11, 2022) – A bicycle accident reported in the Sharpstown area claimed one person’s life on Monday morning, February 7. At around 10:15 a.m., authorities were called to the scene of a crash on Bellaire Boulevard.

Reports from the police show that a 73-year-old man was riding a bicycle on Bellaire Boulevard when he was struck by a brown Toyota Tundra pickup truck.

The bicyclist sustained severe injuries in the crash. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, a 51-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
