Temple, TX (February 9, 2022) – A two-vehicle accident reported on Monday in Temple has claimed one man’s life. On February 7, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Highway 317.
Reports from the police show that a vehicle failed to yield the right of way while passing a stop sign at Highway 317 and Poison Oak Road. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a second vehicle.
One person involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries. The victim, 73-year-old Harold Speights, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two people were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
