Willis, TX (December 4, 2021) – Two women have lost their lives as a result of a traffic-related incident in the Willis area on Thursday morning, December 2. At around 5:24 a.m., authorities were called to the site of a crash on Interstate 45.

Reports from authorities show that a Ford Expedition was traveling on Interstate 45 when it became involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer near Longstreet Road. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to collide with a second tractor-trailer on the roadway.

Two female passengers inside the Ford were fatally injured. The victims, identified as 51-year-old Crystal Dawn Zeigler and 59-year-old Christina Lovejoy, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
