Causes of building fires are not always evident A residential fire can feel like a nightmare coming to life. Anyone inside a home that is burning may experience the terror of trying to escape. They may also have concern for helping loved ones get to safety, and then they may watch helplessly while their belongings go up in flames. If they are fortunate, no one suffers injuries. However, not everyone is so fortunate. A recent house fire tragically resulted in the death of one person. Texas emergency services received a call of a house on fire in the early hours of a recent Tuesday morning. When fire personnel responded, they found the residence with fire coming from the doors and windows. The back of the house was engulfed in flames. In the process of extinguishing the fire, responders discovered the body in the house. Officials have not identified the person, but the fatality makes their investigation into the cause of the blaze even more urgent. The local fire company has asked for help from county investigators and the police. Most building fires are avoidable, and sadly, Texas sees far too many deaths related to building fires. Determining the cause of a fire requires careful investigation. A fire may result from faulty wiring, a defective appliance or a malfunctioning heating unit. Many fires are due to careless actions, and some are intentionally set.
