Dallas, TX (March 20, 2022) – One man was left critically injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Dallas. At around 9 p.m., on March 17, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on St Augustine Drive.

Reports from authorities show that 32-year-old Jose Salas was driving a red 2010 Cadillac Escalade south on St Augustine Drive at a high rate of speed during the evening hours. At the same time, a man in a gray 2006 Toyota Matrix was attempting to make a left turn near Fireside Drive.

As the Toyota turned, it was struck by the speeding Cadillac.

The impact of the crash caused the Toyota to rotate backward. The Cadillac went off the roadway, hit a pole, and rolled over.

Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for care. Salas was subsequently tested for DWI. The second driver suffered critical injuries and underwent emergency medical care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the victims injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
