Denton, TX (January 11, 2023) – A vehicle wreck was reported in the Denton area that claimed the life of a 42-year-old woman. At around 3 p.m. on January 8, the Denson Police Department responded to the site of a two-vehicle head-on collision that took place on Farm to Market Road 1173.
According to law enforcement, a pickup truck was traveling west on Farm to Market Road 1173. For unknown reasons, the driver of the vehicle braked and swerved into the eastbound lanes. After crossing over to the opposite lane of travel, the vehicle collided head-on with an SUV, which was driving east on the road.
The SUV was occupied by its driver, a 42-year-old woman from Krum, Texas. The woman suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was critically injured and rushed to a hospital in Denton.
The police department is currently investigating the incident.
