Houston, TX (January 10, 2023) – A major traffic accident took place in the Houston area that left multiple people injured. The accident was reported at around 1:20 p.m. on January 9.
According to reports, a collision between three vehicles occurred on Interstate 45, the North Freeway. The incident blocked the road, causing severe delays in the area of Texas State Highway 249. At approximately 1:37 p.m., a second collision took place involving nine vehicles in the same location near Mount Houston Road.
The series of collisions caused severe delays in the area. Authorities arrived at the scene and located multiple vehicles, including a minivan, a rollover SUV, an RV, and an 18-wheeler. Authorities want to work immediately on securing the area, which caused severe disruptions in traffic along the roadway.
Medics went to work on rendering aid to the victims. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
