Lubbock, TX – Four Injured in Auto Accident on I-27 near Marsha Sharp Freeway

Lubbock, TX (February 27, 2022) – Several people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following an auto accident in the Lubbock area on Friday evening. At around 4:30 p.m., on February 25, emergency crews were notified that an accident on Interstate 27 required assistance.

Investigations surrounding the crash show that two SUVs were involved in a collision on Interstate 27 at the intersection of Marsha Sharp Freeway. The incident caused delays in the area of the Flying J truck stop.

EMS rendered aid to several people on-site. One person was hospitalized with moderate injuries as a result of the accident. Three other people were transported to area hospitals for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
