Lubbock, TX – Pedestrian Injured in Car Crash on 19th St near Avenue S

Lubbock, TX (February 9, 2023) – A pedestrian was hospitalized as a result of a car crash that took place on Tuesday evening in Lubbock. The Lubbock Police Department was called to the scene of the accident, which involved a pedestrian, at approximately 7:50 p.m. on February 7.

Reports provided by local news sources show that a 36-year-old man was driving a vehicle in the area of 19th Street and Avenue S during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, he struck a pedestrian and fled the scene of the accident.

The pedestrian suffered moderate injuries as a result of the accident. The victim was rushed to University Medical Center for emergency care.

The driver of the vehicle was later apprehended by the police. He now faces charges for failing to render aid and driving while having a license suspended.

The Lubbock Police Department is actively investigating the accident.
