Reeves County, TX – Fatal Car Crash on US-287 Takes One Life, Leaves One Injured

Reeves County, TX (January 22, 2023) – A fatal per occurrence took place in Reeves County on Friday morning that claimed one person’s life. On January 20, the Texas Department of Public Safety was notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on US Highway 285.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety show that a Ford F250 was pulling a trailer while traveling north on US Highway 285. As the vehicle attempted to pass a second vehicle, it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado.

The impact of the collision caused the Ford to roll over.

A 34-year-old male involved in the accident was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased on-site.

The second victim, a 53-year-old male, suffered injuries in the crash. He was transported to Reeves Regional Hospital for emergency care.

DPS is currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
