San Juan, TX – Woman Loses Life in Pedestrian Crash on E Carrol St

San Juan, TX (April 21, 2022) – A pedestrian accident reported in the San Juan area claimed the life of one person early Saturday morning, April 16. Just before 1:30 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on East Carrol Street.

Reports provided by authorities show that a 32-year-old woman was walking in the 700 block of East Carrol Street during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a vehicle. The woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and an accident involving damage to a vehicle.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
