San Marcos, TX (January 17, 2023) – A traffic accident was reported in the San Marcos area on Monday afternoon that left multiple people injured. Just before two p.m., on January 16, the Texas Department of Public Safety was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic accident on Interstate 35.
Reports from police show that two vehicles collided on Interstate 35 in the area of Texas State Highway 123. Two people were ejected from their vehicles as a result of the crash.
Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and secure the road.
Six patients, including one child, were all transported to area hospitals for emergency medical care. Reports show that the child suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
