Tyler, TX (April 26, 2022) – One person was left injured following a motor vehicle accident in Smith County on Monday morning, April 25. At around 7:55 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Interstate 20.
Reports provided by authorities show that Smith County ESD 2 was responding to a crash with the Winona Fire Department. As the vehicles traveled on Interstate 20 near Texas State Highway 155, a passenger vehicle collided with the fire engine.
The driver of the passenger vehicle sustained injuries as a result of the accident and was rushed to a local hospital for medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
