Austin, TX (September 28, 2021) – Officials with the Austin Police Department were dispatched to the scene of a deadly pedestrian crash over the weekend. The accident took place on Saturday, September 26th at approximately 11:00 p.m.
Officers were called to the 12200 block of Interstate 35. According to an initial report, a white Toyota was traveling southbound on I-35 when the driver struck a pedestrian alongside the roadway. The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. The driver of the Toyota remained at the site and spoke with investigators. There were no other injuries reported as a result of the accident. Police have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed at this time.
