Armstrong, TX (April 30, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident in the Armstrong area that claimed the lives of several people on Wednesday, April 27. At around 4:15 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety was dispatched to the scene of a wreck on Highway 287.
Reports from DPS show that a 23-year-old woman was driving west on Highway 287 when her vehicle collided with a second vehicle near County Road 9.
The 23-year-old and her two passengers, a 25-year-old female, and a 4-year-old boy, were all fatally injured. The three victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two people in the second vehicle, an 84-year-old man and an 80-year-old female, were also fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
