Austin, TX – One Killed in Pedestrian Crash on I-35 between Stassney Ln & William Cannon Dr

Austin, TX (July 26, 2022) – Authorities responded to the site of a major collision in the Austin area on Monday morning that claimed one person’s life. At around 9 a.m., on July 25, the Austin Police Department was notified that a motor vehicle wreck occurred on Interstate 35.

Police reports show that a collision occurred in the 6000 block of Interstate 35, on the southbound service road between Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to roll over and strike the pedestrian.

The pedestrian incurred fatal injuries due to the crash and was declared deceased by responding officers.

Another victim involved in the crash was trapped and had to be removed from the vehicle by responding firefighters. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for care.

The Austin Police Department is investigating the crash at this time.
