Fatal Truck Accidents in Texas
Each year, around 3,900 people lose their lives in motor vehicle accidents across the state of Texas. Around 14% of these accidents involve at least one semi-truck. Truck accidents are often more severe in nature due to the size and weight of the vehicles. When victims are involved in semi-truck accidents, the chances of suffering fatal injuries are drastically increased.
Although we hope that every driver will be considerate of others sharing the road, we continue to see countless people lose their lives in crashes due to the negligence of others. Some leading causes of collisions we see each year include:
- Eating while operating vehicles
- Driving recklessly
- Speeding
- Driving while impaired by drugs or alcohol
- Using cell phones to talk or text while driving
