Charleston Gardens, TX (December 1, 2021) – An automobile accident reported in Harris County on Saturday evening claimed the lives of two people. At around 10:50 p.m., on November 27, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on Veterans Memorial Drive.

Reports from authorities show that a 44-year-old male was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of Speed on Veterans Memorial Drive during the evening hours. As his vehicle passed through the intersection of Moorebrook Drive, it crashed into a second vehicle. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles into a ditch.

The driver of the second vehicle, 62-year-old Sabino Angón Martinez was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger, 60-year-old Lilia Angón, was transported to a local hospital where she passed away from her injuries.

The driver of the speeding truck, a 44-year-old man, was transported to Ben Taub hospital in critical condition.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
