Dallas, TX (April 25, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on the Northwest side of Dallas on Saturday morning has taken one person’s life. At around 3:30 a.m., on April 23, calls for assistance came in surrounding an auto accident on Loop 12.
Reports provided by authorities show that an SUV was traveling on Loop 12 when the driver of the vehicle lost control as a result of possibly being struck by a second vehicle. As a result, the vehicle struck the median attenuator near Interstate 35. The SUV then burst into flames.
The driver of the SUV sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The second vehicle fled the scene of the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
