Harris County, TX (August 6, 2022) – A 22-month-old boy has lost his life following a vehicle accident in Harris County on Friday afternoon. On August 5, emergency crews in Harris County were called to the scene of a vehicle collision that occurred near the Beltway 8 frontage road.

Preliminary investigations show that a cement truck was traveling on the main lines of Beltway 8. For unknown reasons, the driver of the vehicle lost control due to slick road conditions. As a result, the truck fell over the bridge near the frontage road and Wood Forest Boulevard. The truck then landed on top of a Ford Expedition SUV.

The Ford was occupied by a family of four at the time of the crash. A 54-year-old woman, her 22-year-old daughter, and the daughter’s 22-month-old twins, a girl and a boy, were all inside the SUV.

Three of the occupants were able to escape the vehicle. However, the 22-month-old boy suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The three other victims were transported to area hospitals for further treatment.

The crash is under investigation at this time.

We hope the three victims injured as a result of this crash recover quickly and fully.

We offer our deepest sympathies to the family of the child who lost his life as a result of this crash.
