Hartley, TX (April 20, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Hartley County on Sunday evening has claimed the lives of two victims. At around 9:30 p.m., on April 17, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on US Highway 385.
Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety show that a 29-year-old woman was driving a Mazda CX5 north on US Highway 385 when her vehicle collided with a Toyota Highlander head-on.
The woman was rushed to a hospital in Dumas, where she passed away from her injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced deceased at the scene due to their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
