Henderson, TX (June 26, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a two-vehicle accident reported on Friday morning. At around 10:15 a.m., on June 24, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Farm to Market Road 753.
Reports from local authorities show that a van was traveling westbound on Farm to Market Road 753. For unknown reasons, it collided with a Freightliner truck that was towing a 1997 Lufkin dump truck near the intersection of Farm to Market Road 59.
The impact of the crash sent both vehicles off the roadway and into a ditch.
The driver of the van, a 61-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 67-year-old passenger in the van was transported to UT Health Tyler Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 46-year-old truck driver was treated at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
