Houston, TX (May 16, 2022) – One person lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Houston area on Thursday morning, May 12. At around 5 a.m., the Houston police responded to the scene of an auto accident on West Mt Houston Road.
Reports from authorities show that a bicyclist was traveling west on West Mt Houston Road during the morning hours. As the rider passed the area of Interstate 45 North, they were struck by a vehicle.
The rider suffered severe injuries in the accident. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to render aid to the victim. However, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
