Houston, TX (October 15, 2021) – One child has lost her life following a motor vehicle accident on the northwest side of Houston on Wednesday evening, October 13.

At around 5 p.m., a school bus with the Anderson Academy in Aldine ISD was traveling near the Garden City Apartment Complex, located in the 9600 block of West Montgomery Road.

The bus approached the building to let students off at their homes. As a 6-year-old girl was crossing the street after exiting the bus, she was struck by a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

The girl was severely injured. She was rushed to a local hospital where she passed away from her injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
