Houston, TX – Man Putting Gas in Car Fatally Hit by Toyota on I-10

Houston, TX (February 18, 2023) – A man was killed on an interstate in the Houston area on Saturday morning, February 18. 

The fatal accident took place at around 4 a.m. on Interstate 10 near Gessner Road. The man was reportedly putting gas in his car when he was hit by a Toyota pickup truck. The victim had reportedly run out of gas and had called an uber to go to a gas station. After being brought back to his vehicle, he was then hit by the pickup. 

The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and showed signs of impairment. He was taken into custody by officials. 

No additional information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is in progress.
