Kimball, TX (February 6, 2022) – Authorities were called to the site of an accident in Kimble County that claimed one person’s life. On February 3, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 377.

Reports from authorities show that Arizona’s Venom Volleyball team was traveling to the Austin area on Thursday evening when their SUV became involved in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler on US Highway 377 North.

One of the players, identified as a 17-year-old, suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Six other victims were transported to area hospitals for medical care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
