Odessa, TX (July 9, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Odessa area claims one woman’s life. At around 6 p.m., on July 7, the Odessa Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on East Highway 191.
Reports provided by authorities show that a collision between a 2006 Chevrolet avalanche and a 2003 Mercedes occurred in the 12,800 block of East Highway 191. Both vehicles then left the roadway and crashed into a retaining barrier. The incident left both vehicles with significant damage.
A 42-year-old woman involved in the accident was rushed to Medical Center Hospital where she pros pronounced deceased.
And 90-year-old female involved in the accident suffered injuries and was transported to an area hospital for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
