Primera, TX – Man Loses Life in Pedestrian Accident on Wilson Rd near South Ford Dr

Primera, TX (April 1, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Primera area claimed the life of one man on Tuesday evening, March 29.

At around 10 p.m., emergency crews were notified that an auto accident on Wilson Road required assistance.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety show that a 26-year-old man from Harlingen, Texas was crossing Wilson Road during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, he was struck by a red Chevrolet Camaro near the intersection of South Fork Drive.

The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital for medical care. However, authorities confirmed that he passed away from his injuries.

At this time, DPS is investigating the crash.
