Rose City, TX (February 2, 2022) – A motorcycle accident reported in the Rose City area claimed one man’s life. At around 2 p.m., on January 31, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of an accident on the Interstate 10 service road.

Reports from DPS show that a 2002 Honda motorcycle was traveling east on the service road when it collided with a 2004 Chevrolet SUV.

The motorcyclist, 68-year-old Michael Thomas, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. DPS pronounced Thomas deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
