San Antonio, TX (May 14, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the San Antonio area has taken the life of one woman, according to local law enforcement. Just after 10:30 a.m., on May 11, the San Antonio police department was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Oak Hill Road.
Reports from the San Antonio police show that an elderly woman was walking down the sidewalk near Oak Hill Road and Viva Max Drive. For and known reason a 59-year-old woman was driving a Ford edge through the intersection when she struck the pedestrian on the sidewalk. The Ford then crashed into a tree.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on-site.
The driver of the Ford was transported to a local hospital and was later arrested for intoxication manslaughter.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently under investigation.
