Travis County, TX – One Killed in MVA on Dee Gabriel Collins Road near McKinney Falls Parkway

Travis County, TX (May 22, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported on the eastern side of Travis County claimed one person’s life early Saturday morning, May 20. Just before 12:30 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the site of an auto accident that occurred on Dee Gabriel Collins Road.

Reports from authorities indicate that a head-on collision between two vehicles occurred on Dee Gabriel Collins Road in the area near McKinney Falls Parkway. The incident resulted in moderate delays throughout the area.

One adult victim involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

Four other people involved in the accident, including one juvenile victim, were all transported to area hospitals for treatment. Two of the adult victims and one juvenile victim suffered from life-threatening injuries. The fourth adult was airlifted to a local hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
