Tyler, TX (January 25, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Cherokee County claimed one pedestrian’s life. Just before midnight on January 23, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Farm to Market Road 346.
Reports from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office show that a 43-year-old Tony Boswell was walking on the edge of the roadway when he was struck by a southbound Sheriff Deputy’s vehicle in the 3000 block of Farm to Market Road 346.
Boswell was rushed to UT Health- Tyler for care. Authorities confirm that the victim was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
